What can we learn from the Gospel of Mark?  John Mark wrote with the Romans as his audience, and his theme was "Jesus Christ the Servant."  If we had to pick a key verse in this Gospel, it would be Mark 10:45, "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."  Being a servant is NOT something that comes naturally to us, but as Christ followers it is crucial for us to understand and to emulate His example.   What would it be like in our church if every person at ACC allowed the Holy Spirit to transform him/her into a servant?  What would Austin be like?

Life is challenging and busy enough when things are going well, but it is extremely difficult when one also has to deal with adversity.  Sometimes we are misunderstood or disappointed. Other times we have actual enemies who are trying to make our life miserable.  What are we supposed to do then?  Jesus faced a ton of adversity when He was here on earth, but He always knew how to respond.  What can we learn from His life as the Servant?
